Hi I'm Lindsay

I'm a missionary, former pageant queen, actress, and college student, but most importantly... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the arts and the outdoors, but more than anything, I love life. I love to sing in the shower and dance in the rain. I enjoy playing the piano and guitar and playing games with my family. I love to rock climb, canyoneer, hike, ride our family's horses, fish, and any other activity that can get me out of the city and into the wilderness. I was previously a college student studying dance education and an employee of an LDS independant film company; however, I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in the China, Hong Kong Cantonese speaking Mission. My hobbies may have been forgotten for a season, but my heart has never been happier than it has been serving the Chinese people this past year of my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a long line of Church members; in fact, my family's history in the church goes as far back as the Church's history does, but I'm a Mormon not because I was raised to be or forced to be, but because I chose to be. I am a Mormon because in a world of confusion and opposing voices it's nice to know that one can actually find direction in life. I am a Mormon because I don't want to just say what I believe or do what I believe; I want to LIVE what I believe. I want religion to be a part of who I am not just a part of what I do. I am a Mormon because I have tasted just a small bite of God's love for me and to go back to the love of the world would be like going back to eating a plastic restaraunt dessert display after enjoying a piece of their world renowned chocolate cake or going back to living in a cardboard box after living in a mansion. I am Mormon because I love God and I know He loves me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by preaching my faith, but most importantly, I live my faith by being my faith. I am currently a full-time missionary in Hong Kong, China where I am preaching the Gospel Of Jesus Christ in the Cantonese language. I do nothing else but serve other people and my God from the time that I wake up each morning to the time I go to bed each night. I love being a missionary. I love it. It's hard and it's lonely sometimes, but I love it. However, as much as I love preaching my faith, I am only a full-time missionary for a year and a half... I am God's representative for life. I live my faith by standing up for my standards even when it's unpopular or difficult. I live my faith by serving those around me regardless of their particular religious beliefs. And I live my faith by striving each day to become a little more like the person my faith encourages me to emulate- to become a little more like my Savior, Jesus Christ.
