Hi I'm Karl

Obviously I'm a Mormon. Wales is the place to live even though I'm English!

About Me

A sports lover with football as my most enjoyed. My most favourite thing is being a dad with an ambition of playing football on the same team as my son / sons, if my knees hold out. My wife's pretty cool as well! Enjoy making memories with my family and plan to do more travelling as the children get older. My favourite summer activity is probably tombstoning but trying to stick to sensible jumps nowadays as it hurts when you get it wrong. Now if you have a picture of the type of person I am, just to confuse you, I work as an accountant to pay the bills, drive a S-MAX car and also like nights in relaxing! Before you jump to any conclusions, no I don't have a split personality.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church so I was born into it. This gave me a religious upbringing and I've always believed it to be true. The main reason I remain a member is due to an amazing spiritual witness that Jesus is my Saviour and alive. Through study, prayer and a lot of thinking my understanding that this is His church has grown. I've also had many spiritual experiences over the years to reaffirm my beliefs. Reading and teaching the scriptures is exciting to me which I never thought could happen! This is because of the way they make me feel as I study them.

How I live my faith

Currently I have the priviledge of working with 12-18 year old young men across 9 congregations. For someone like me it doesn't get much better as it keeps you feeling young (except when you are beaten at running on beaches). In the past I've taught early morning scripture study classes for 14-18 year olds, taught adult sunday school classes, served as a bishop (minister over a congregation), organised activities for 12-18 year old young men for one congregation and even served a 2 year mission for the church in London and East Anglia. It's really about doing your part to help people enjoy life and get the best of it.
