Hi I'm Julie

I am married to my best friend. I'm a mother and a grandmother. I love to learn. I love to run and bike. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family is so important to me!! I have been blessed to be a part of a wonderful family. I grew up in California as one of ten children. My parents and siblings are still a very important part of my life. I have been married to my best friend for 31 years. He puts his heart and soul into all that he does. He has worked hard to provide for our family so that I could stay at home and raise our children. Speaking of children, we have five of the best kids you could ask for!! I have a degree in nursing from Brigham Young University, and I am currently working part-time on another degree. I think it is important to continue to learn, and one of my goals is to be a life long learner. I have a love for reading both fiction and nonfiction. I love to run and to bike. I have completed two full marathons, several half-marathons and many other shorter races. A couple of years ago, my youngest son and I completed a triathlon with two of my sisters. It was so fun to train together and reach that goal together. I love the beauty of the earth. I love birds. And I love to look at the stars at night. Our family has been known to get up at all hours of the night to see a meteor shower.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to grow up in a family that loved me and that loved the Lord. It seems like from my earliest memories I knew that I had a Heavenly Father that loved me. The gospel of Jesus Christ makes perfect sense to me. I love knowing why I am here on earth, what my Heavenly Father and my Savior want me to do, and what I need to do to return to live with Them one day. I love knowing that the Family is central to God's plan and that as a family we can be together forever. I love knowing that one day I will be reunited with my father and grandparents and friends that have died. I love knowing that happiness comes from keeping the commandments and striving to become more like my Heavenly Father and my Savior. I am grateful for a Heavenly Father and a Savior who know me personally. They know my needs and my hopes and desires. I am grateful for the opportunity to pray daily and to study the word of God from the scriptures. I am thankful for the inspiration and guidance that comes to me from heaven. I receive great strength and fortitude from my relationship with Them.

How I live my faith

I love the gospel and it is an integral part of my life. It is a blessing to be involved in teaching and guiding the youth of our church. I try to live my life as the Savior would have me live it. I try to look for opportunities to serve and bless others. I volunteer on several community and school committees. For me, part of living my faith means being a good citizen and trying to make our community and nation strong. It means becoming knowledgeable about issues in our community and nation and teaching true principles to others. It means voting and being a law-abiding citizen. I love being a part of our church family. What a blessing to be able to serve and bless others!! And I have also been blessed by others' service to me and my family. Central to my faith is my family. What a great blessing to have a family where you are loved and trusted and supported. My husband and I have tried to establish such an environment in our home. I consider my role and calling as a mother and wife to be the most important of my life. I try to love and support my husband and children. I have tried to teach my children to love the Lord, to serve others, to be honest and good, and to love their country.
