Hi I'm Becky Lamps

I am an artist and designer when I am not busy being a mom. I love crafts, cooking, and finding new hobbies to try. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I currently live in California with my husband and growing family. I love being a mom and learning new skills everyday. My college background is a BFA degree in Fine Arts/Electronic Design and so art is and has been a big part of my life. I try to escape and be creative whenever possible. I have embraced the electronic art and design world and enjoyed working as a graphic designer until recent family additions. I love exploring nature and most sports. My parents are converts to the church when they were young and so I have enjoyed to be a member for my whole life.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the people and the gospel. Personal experiences have strengthened my belief in the church and the Savior. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ and his mission. He has been there for me through the small and big moments. I am thankful for the hope and direction that I receive through his atonement. Regular scripture study and prayer have always added to and confirmed my testimony. I know the book of mormon and bible to be true. I am grateful to have the Holy Ghost in my life to give me daily reminders or even warnings. Service is a big part of the church and there are always opportunities to find. Even better, when you are in need there is always someone around to help. I like the emphasis on personal and spiritual growth. There are plenty of activities that help you in this process. I couldn't imagine living without it.

How I live my faith

I love finding opportunities to serve others in the church or neighbors around us. There are plenty of organized opportunities; I visit other families regularly, help with meals or attend service events. Currently, I enjoy working with some of the girls to teach them fun crafts, life skills, and help them learn more about the gospel to gain their own belief. Recently, I have tried learning more about my family history. That desire has grown through attending the temple and feeling the Spirit and importance of the work.
