Hi I'm Marie

I was born and raised in Arizona and I'm studying to become a grade school teacher. I love my family and my dog. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a full time student at a small community college in my area, and working full time as well. I love to research things of interest and I love to tell stories. I have had a lot of fun with spur of the moments with friends and family. I love my family with all my heart and we enjoy each others company. I like to make other people feel welcomed and loved that need some one to call their friend. When I graduated high school I was not in the top ten of smart people. I like to camp and go fishing. I love children and 100% believe that they are a gift from God. I enjoy listening to stories from older folks and get an idea of what it must have been like in that day and age.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, but growing up my mother and father let us explore other faiths and if we wanted to attend another church we could. My mom never forced me to go to church she always left the choice up to me and I went every Sunday, at first it was to please her but then I started to grow a testimony of the truthfulness of His gospel. I wanted to be totally one hundred percent a part of it. I wanted the joy it brought into my parents lives. I found all that I wanted. Happiness. Through prayer and scripture study I came to find the gospel my self. I used to rely on my parents testimony on why the Gospel was true, but when you feel the spirit whispering in your heart or your mind, and the words from the scriptures come to make sense in your hectic life you learn by personal revelation that the Gospel is true and that this is the restored church on the earth today! That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday, except on the days that I can't make it. My church likes to give service and as do I so I help clean the church on Saturdays when it is my ward's turn. I believe in giving to those who are less fortunate because one day I may be in their position so I donate old clothes or to a humanitarian fund. I dress modestly and watch my language so that I do not use strong or harsh words. I participate in the churches activities such as dinners or parties, but I don't like going to the dances... I can't dance. I eat healthy and exercise helps keep me on my toes and my mind clear. I believe in keeping a clean house, because a clean house helps bring down the tension and so the Spirit or the Holy Ghost can feel welcome in our home. I like to discuss my faith with members or with non members. I enjoy listening to what people have to say and what their beliefs are and ready to answer any of their questions.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

This church was founded and established by God. Joseph Smith was chosen to restore it. He was visited by angels, and translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God, and received authority granted by God to organize the Church. Show more Show less
