Hi I'm Jeff

I love sports and I enjoy being with friends. I play the guitar and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoying all types of sports and being involved in group activities. I am studying accounting at BYU and I feel right at home here in Utah. I am 21 years old and I have lived in Brazil for two years.

Why I am a Mormon

I strive to make Christ a big part of my life. I truly believe that through Him and only Him can we make it to heaven and be forgiven of our sins. The Mormon church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has strengthened my faith in our Savior. I can feel myself growing closer to Christ and peace fills my heart as I try to follow in His footsteps.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to serve whenever an opportunity arises. Christ has always been the standard for me and I know He lived a happy life. He lived serving others and that tells me that true happiness comes from helping whenever possible. I was fortunate enough to serve a two-year mission in Brazil. While I was there, I learned Portuguese. I try to see that as just an extra opportunity to serve and when possible, I go help missionaries that are just starting to learn the language. I am able to help them just by talking and listening to them.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Jeff
Imagine your family, full of the people that are closest to you. Would you rather have a united family, or a family that is separated in beliefs and desires? When Jesus Christ came to the Earth, He established one church, or one family. Unfortunately with His death and the death of the apostles, the church was lost from the Earth. Many churches rose up, and although they taught good things, they weren't perfect as Christ's church was. Because all of these churches rose up, people were starting to become divided. Some would attend one church while others would attend another. We are all God's children, and God wants exactly what each of us want, a united family. He doesn't want to see arguments and contentions between denominations. That's why He established only one true church. Because the church fell, it needed to be restored. The one "family" that could reunite all of God's children, which is the very same church Christ organized. Through Joseph Smith, God restored the true church, to hopefully bring every last person unto God as a family. Show more Show less
