Hi I'm Daniel Konrad Tello (Danny)

I'm from Chile but grew up in AZ,USA. I have dwarfism and I'm normal like everyone else, except I'm small. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm from Chile but I grew up in AZ. I'm currently living in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 3 years. I'm 18 years old and came to the USA when I was 5years old for a better life. I love to hangout with my family and friends! I like cumbia, merengue,Reggaeton y techno. I'm an awesome Uncle! I like to go camping and I love riding in my wheelchair. I'm still finishing up high school due to surgeries. I've always wanted and dreamed of becoming a doctor. I want to be a Pediatrician orthopedic doctor. I want to help those in need because I've been through a lot in life due to surgeries and complications and it'll be a way to give back! I have a rare type of dwarfism called McKusick syndrome or CHH( Cartilage- hair hypoplasia),and I'm the only little person in my entire family, but I'm a normal person just like everyone else. The difference is my height! :) I've had a lot of surgeries in life but God has blessed me many times. When I was a kid I always wished I was tall but I know someday I'll be perfect when the Lord comes. I know God loves me! He sent me here for a purpose and that is to show how I'm grateful to be little and to teach the gospel. Everywhere I go I see people making fun of me and asking me question such as" Why am I a little person?" I respond back saying "God made me this way, so I'm special to him and lucky" haha. I love being just the way I am! I would love to serve a mission someday! I know the church is true with all my heart, I have no doubts about it! I LOVE THE GOSPEL!!

Why I am a Mormon

Well since i grew up in the church, I've wanted to know by myself if the church is true. So I prayed and read the Book of Mormon (along with the bible) and I felt love and peace of our Savior, and felt the Holy Spirit when I ask our Lord if its true and I got the answer that this Church is true! :) I love being a Mormon because it has helped me to be strong at difficult times through surgeries and basically life, and it continue to do so. I've had 6 surgeries growing up and need 4 more, so I know what pain feels like and I'm used to it because I can count on our LORD and the power of the Priesthood! And of course my mom haha, she basically took care of me when I had surgeries or with pain, so I thank her for that! :D I'm having hips replacements soon and knee replacements as well but I'm not scared because I trust in GOD and the GOSPEL! I love my family and I love that family can be together forever! I know the church is true with all my heart, I always felt it and that is why I follow the gospel. I'm so lucky that my parents joined the church way before I was born, because I wouldn't be like I am today and I'm so grateful. I believe in God and his words to be true. I know and believe that God speaks to Prophets to help us guide us in life and teach us and also his apostles, bishops, seventies, and so on. I know and believe in Joseph Smith to be a true man of God that helped restore the gospel. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true living prophet.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping the missionaries out the best I can, and preach the gospel and reading the scriptures and by going to church :). I love sharing my testimony to people and preaching the gospel to my non-Mormon friends. I have faith in the church and in God and his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost! The gospel helped me to overcome through tough challenges in life, even though I still struggle with myself because there's times I wish I wasn't a little person but every time that happens I pray about it and realize how much the Lord loves me and send me here for a purpose and to help people know how much grateful I am just the way I am!!! I'm not saying I'm perfect, I know I'm not (no one is perfect for a fact but we're trying our best to be like our loving Savior so we can go back to him) I regret lots of things in life but I couldn't be much happier than I am right now! :) I love living the gospel!!!!

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Daniel Konrad Tello (Danny)
We believe that the Bible and the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. The Bible talks about life in Asia and Europe and wonderful people taught the word of God. The Book of Mormon talks about life in the Americas ( North America, Central America and South America) and also about wonderful people that help teach the gospel. Show more Show less

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Daniel Konrad Tello (Danny)
“This Church has nothing whatever to do with those practicing polygamy. They are not members of this Church.... If any of our members are found to be practicing plural marriage, they are excommunicated, the most serious penalty the Church can impose. Not only are those so involved in direct violation of the civil law, they are in violation of the law of this Church.” Gordon B Hinckley At various times, the Lord has commanded His people to practice plural marriage. For example, He gave this command to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, and Solomon (Doctrine and Covenants 132:1). At other times the Lord has given other instructions. In the Book of Mormon, the Lord told the prophet Jacob “for there shall not any man among you have save it be one wife: and concubines he shall have none... for if I will, saith the Lord of Hosts, raise up seed unto me, I will command my people; otherwise they shall hearken unto these things (Jacob 2:27-30).
