Hi I'm Tom

I enjoy helping others as a physician; My joy is my family, and for fun its been hiking & camping, choir, and -I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My father and mother taught us 8 children faith in God, and to pray. We got this at school and church weekly, but it was the influence of their examples by how they led their daily lives which taught our souls about faith and obedience to God's plan. We learned faith. We prayed together for family causes. Dad was a man of great faith and like the Saviour, 'went about doing good'. The time of my own search came in my early 20s. I prayed in my own way, and soon I felt those prayers were answered, but not in any way I expected. In 1978 I met LDS missionaries. We read scriptures together, and discussed gospel doctrines of many religions. I recall seeing concepts made crystal clear in my mind as to a Plan of Happiness which God has for all of us , His children. I prayed earnestly and studied likewise, which led to my baptism into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at age 24.

Why I am a Mormon

I am continuing daily to find the peace of the Spirit , and when I am blessed I am compelled to share that news with others. As a youth I was unsure how to share my feelings of joy with others. At age 57 it is no problem!

How I live my faith

One's religion is how he treats others. I believe in the Golden Rule. I feel that the Savior is always there to help me do what is right, if I will call upon Him. I know I cannot have the Spirit with me if I ignore the scriptures. So, my wife and I read daily together. I have a great and tremendous joy in music, singing in the ward choir. It is a great blessing to me! I feel my testimony of the Saviour and his Divine Plan is strengthened in singing His praises. I feel that it is a small way to give thanks to my God and Redeemer.
