Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my best friend. I am busy with four little kids. I'm often told I have my hands full. I do and I'm grateful for how full they are. I love to cook even when it doesn't turn out. I love the idea of creating something for my family to enjoy together around the table. This spring I'm even attempting to garden (I've been wanting to for years and pretty nervous because I don't have a green thumb.)

Why I am a Mormon

Everything I learn and study about the gospel of Jesus Christ feels very natural. I find peace in the simplicity of Heavenly Father's plan for me and I know that I can live eternally with him again when I keep the commandments He has given me by following personal revelation.

How I live my faith

I know Heavenly Father wants to see me to be happy. I feel this best when I have a problem and go to him in prayer. I've had some ah ha moments lately where I know that my prayers are being answered and I am able to be the Lord's hands on earth. I was reading in Alma from the Book of Mormon and was wondering why a particular military leader was so insightful in his preparations in battle. I realized that he was in tune with God and God was enlightening his mind. I feel this way raising my kids. When I have a concern for them I pray for them and feel that God enlightens my mind so that I am able to help them. It is very satisfying to be a good parent. It fills me and helps them. I know I am living my faith when I try to align what I do with what my Father in Heaven would do if he were here.
