Hi I'm Joshua

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the father of 9 children. My wife and I have been married for 17 years. I teach Spanish at a small high school in northern California. We have added to our family through adoption. It was a very tough and rewarding experience. Our family is very in to sports, mainly running and wrestling.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. We lived in Utah until I was 11 years old. We then moved to southern California. My faith had never been challenged until that move. Having to answer curious friends and teachers in my new town drove me to study and prayer. Through study and prayer I gained a testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I desired to serve a mission, and was blessed to serve in Mexico for 2 years where my testimony and faith increased even more.

How I live my faith

I have served for many years as our ward's scoutmaster. I still serve as the 11 year old scoutmaster. I also teach a sunday school class to the same group of 11 year olds. As a scoutmaster I've had the opportunity to be part of many service projects. I have enjoyed watching my son and his friends grow and learn in the scouting program.
