Hi I'm LaDonna

I'm southern born, I'm southern bred, and when I die I'll probably be southern dead... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I taught school for 29 years. I have a wonderful husband, 4 children, and 10 beautiful grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 11 years my mom was an inactive member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 17 years. She was unhappy and wanted to go back to the LDS church. I was a Lutheran at the time but had many doctrinal questions, even as a child. When we were taught by the Missionaries from the LDS church I found answers to my many questions, especially that there is God, the Eternal Father, His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. I knew that the church was true. I have been an active member now for 50 years because I know the gospel is the pathway back to our Father in Heaven. We are free to choose what we do in life. The gospel teaches me how to choose the right and be happy.

How I live my faith

Being married for 39 years and raising 4 children has blessed us because I can see the difference in teaching your children correct principles, living what the gospel teaches, and following the teachings of the Prophet. Being a mother, you must teach your children what is right and then be the example of those correct principles. Even when we do that, there is no guarantee that life will be perfect. That is why we have to have faith in the commandments in order to reap the blessings. I know that this is true for everyone. I have served in many capacities with children, youth, and adults, and each opportunity to serve has blessed my life with true joy.
