Hi I'm Faith

I grew up in Utah. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love family and friends and spending quality time with people I love most. I like to run, water ski, snow ski, hike, and road bike. Last summer I ran two 180 mile team relays. I am a student at a university in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my faith brings me closer to Jesus Christ. I grew up a member of the church and I loved the experience. The best for me is knowing that it is all true and that this gospel truly brings others close to Christ, to each other, and lets us experience happiness because of what Jesus Christ has done for us. Coming to know Jesus Christ through the scriptures, church activities, life experiences, words of modern day prophets, and those around me gives me peace and happiness. He is our Savior and he atoned for our sins as well as our sickness, weaknesses, and infirmities. His atonement has the power not only to heal, but also to enable us and give us strength. This gospel brings me happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by enjoying and cherishing life and those around me. I love visiting others and spending time with them. I also teach Gospel Doctrine (Sunday School) in my ward. In Gospel Doctrine we get to discuss the scriptures and how we can find strength in our lives through the stories in them. I also hope it strengthens my class member's belief in Jesus Christ and the beauty he offers us in our lives as we come to accept him as our Savior. We spend a whole year devoted on either the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, or Doctrine and Covenants and rotate through every 4 years. This year we are focusing on the Book of Mormon. I am especially excited to learn and teach about Christ's visitation to the people on the American Continent and the stories of those who believed he would come.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Family is so important to us because we believe that families provide a setting for us grow and experience life. We believe that some of our greatest joys and biggest strengths can come from the blessing of families. No family is perfect, and many are born into abusive situations or have poor family situations. However, people everywhere have the choice to overcome and to be a transitional character to influence their families in the right way. We know that when we try to strengthen our families by building a foundation for them on Jesus Christ that families can bring us the greatest happiness. Truly! Show more Show less
