Hi I'm Brian Robbins

I grew up in Ohio, currently live in Georgia and am a senior business executive. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a buckeye but have lived in Georgia for almost 14 years. I have a wonderful family of three daughters and a marriage of over 30 years. We have been blessed with four grandchildren and another one on the way! I work as a senior executive and try to find time to exercise and spend time with my wife since we are now empty nesters. We love the beach, especially Hilton Head,SC, and love the mountains as well for skiing. My wife and I love to travel...especially Europe. We actually got to live in the UK recently. It was a wonderful experience to meet and live with people with different backgrounds and perspectives on life in general. I love sports, Porsches, great food and Ohio State football! I love life and all of its adventures. But most of all, I love my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I now have the fullness of the gospel. I now know who I am, where I am going and where I came from. Before becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I struggled with the church that I had been raised in. I was confused by what I was taught.... with who God was versus who Jesus Christ. I truly believed, in my heart, that Jesus was literally the son of God....a separate and distinct person. The Bible was full of scriptures that appeared to support this. Yet, my church did not embrace this. I also believed that I had to have existed before I was born. But I did not know how or why. This feeling was just something inside me that said I had always existed, something in my DNA. When I read the Book of Mormon and listened to the missionaries of the Mormon Church, I realized the answers were right here! They filled the holes of my questions...and with such simple plainness and completeness. I prayed to my Father in Heaven to ask if these things were true and I got an answer like nothing I have ever had in my life. It was so strong and profound that I could not deny it...no matter what the consequences would be. I know that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are both true Testaments of Christ and that we can feel the Spirit of the Lord through reading these books. I know that God loves me and wants the best for me, greater than the love I have for my own children, I know that Christ lives and I will always be grateful for my membership. It has blessed my life so much.

How I live my faith

First of all, I live my faith by being trying to be a good example to everyone I come in contact with. I try to be what our Heavenly Father would want me to be. I try to always respond to any call for help. Because I work out of town every week, I don't get much opportunity to serve others as I use to. But, I still try to do my callings in Church...like working with our single adult members who are between 18 and 30 years old. They are a wonderful group of young men and women trying to become adults, and I am fortunate to work with my wife as advisors to them. I live my faith by being a faithful husband, father...and now a grandfather. This is not difficult because I have a fantastic wife and children. Finally, I live my faith by trying everday to follow the example of Jesus Christ..that is, to perfect myself. I know that this is why we are here on this earth and why He was sent here...to be an example to all of us.
