Hi I'm Elizabeth

My music shines because of the Lord, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to school for music education. I am in my undergraduate right now, but I have found that the path I want to pursue in my graduate education is music therapy. As my college is a very outdoorsy place, I take great pleasure in viewing the earth in all of its beautiful majesty in any way that I can. I love learning about His wonderful earth and all of the many spectacular things which create it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel in my heart that this is His true church. I know that this church is Christ's, restored to its fulness, and it brings me great comfort to know that I'm following the path He has laid down for me. Every time I attend Sunday services, read and study my scriptures, and pray to Him I can feel His Holy Spirit near me telling me that I am following the right way. I cannot help but smile all the time- I know that the Lord is near me and is helping me to understand what I am supposed to be doing for Him. The Lord makes me happy, and he brings such light and joy and peace and happiness to my life, no matter what obstacles in life I have to go through. I love my Heavenly Father and am overjoyed at the knowledge that He can be always near me, to congratulate me when I'm doing well, to help me up when I've fallen, and to listen to everything that I have to say. I feel very close to Him, and I know that He is listening when I tell Him about the silly things that happened during my day or the interesting things I saw.

How I live my faith

As one of the few Mormon students on my campus, I try very hard to be a good example of a follower of Christ. I have to try every day to be kind to my fellow-students, and to keep my words and actions in line with what the Lord would have me say and do. It is so easy now to be filled with love towards all who I come in contact with, and this helps me meet them on their own ground and know them for who they really are. Every now and then I have to take time to carefully explain a point of Gospel that one of my friends or neighbors asks me about, and I know that the Spirit helps me to do that.
