Hi I'm Devin Poe

I'm an athletic/gammer/student/construction worker/Mormon.

About Me

I am a young man that just recently got back from serving a mission for the church and am currently working in construction to earn money to go to medical school. I love doing exersize and to physically fit. I'm a person that is very logical and love to approach all aspects of life by thinking before and acting as who I am, but at the same time, with reason. I grew up in the church and all my immediate family are active, though all those more distant don't want anything to do with the church.

Why I am a Mormon

Really, I'm a Mormon because for me it's the only church that actually makes sense. I love the community and fellowship within the church and for me give a great alternatives to have fun and stuff without drugs and drinking and wasting my life away. Instead it has helped to guide my life to focus on the family and on actually achieving things with my life. The members aren't perfect, but then again, neither am I, but it's always a great time.

How I live my faith

I love to live my faith by just filling my life with things more worthwhile as opposed to just wasting time on TV and other things that never really help us be better. Don't get me wrong, I love a good movie, my family are movies freaks, but life can have so much more. By doing those small things every day: reading scriptures, praying, going to church, family home evenings, occasional service, etc. I believe that we don't have to be perfect (I mean, who can be but Jesus) but we can be the best we can be just by doing the small things we should.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Devin Poe
Welp, the Book of Mormon is simply the work of God continuing here on earth. Its a book of scripture that is a history of the people who lived in the ancient american continent. I mean, if you wanna be logical, does God only love the Jews? Did he only guide them? Really think God would do that? I know that God loves all of us and guides all of us. The Book of Mormon is simply that. God guiding the people that lived over here by prophits. Just like in the bible. We reacieved if today for the same reason. Do you think that God only guided us? That he loved us enough to speak to us through prophits and give us revelations, but not today? I know that the short history that is in the bible isn't the only story on earth, and stories are still continuing, and he wants to guide us, because he loves us. Really, if you want to know if its true, well, logically, you gotta read some of it, right? Show more Show less
