Hi I'm Daniel

I grew up near Seattle, Washington. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to college and preparing to become a high school math teacher. I love the outdoors, music, and sports. This includes camping, long boarding, snowboarding, rock climbing, basketball, soccer, and hockey. Other than that, I enjoy eating and sleeping.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are also Mormon and have always set amazing examples for me to follow. I have often wondered where I would be without the church in my life, what kind of person I would be... It is in those times that I have a deep gratitude in my heart for the principles and standards that I have learned and strive to live by everyday. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the one and only true church on the face of the earth. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who loves us and guides us. He does this through personal revelation, as well as through a prophet. I know that He sincerely desires us to live righteously so we can return to live with Him again. I know that this is only possible through the Atonement, which was performed by Heavenly Father's son, Jesus Christ. And I know that this gospel is what brings me true happiness in this life, and the means which make it possible to live with my family forever.

How I live my faith

Since I am going to college right now I attend a church with other single college students (or others who may be doing other things but living in the same area). I have been assigned to visit with four people from this group at least once a month, just as someone else is assigned to meet with me once a month. We usually talk about a church topic for some time, as well as catch up on what's going on in our lives. I really feel that through this responsibility we are all drawn closer together like a family. It provides me with the opportunity to serve others near to me, and gives me someone that I can go to if I am ever in need of help. And when it comes down to it, that really is one of the main purposes of the church: for us all to learn how to serve and love those around us, to life each other up, and develop the pure attribute of charity within us.
