Hi I'm Brooke

I grew up on a farm in Idaho. I work as a nurse. I love being a wife and can't wait to be a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a farm in Idaho and learned how to work. Hard work is simply a way of life for me. I recently graduated from college in nursing. I work in a nursing home and love my associations with the people I serve there. I love to play the piano and sing. I love rock climbing and hiking. I love my husband to whom I've been married for almost a year.

Why I am a Mormon

Heavenly Father answers prayers. Although I grew up within the church, my parents taught me the importance of gaining my own testimony. Through reading the scriptures and praying consistently, I gained an understanding of God's love for me and for all of His children. He allows us to learn more of Him and His plan that He has provided through His living prophets. My belief was strengthened as I served a mission in El Salvador and Belize and got to teach other people about my faith. My life was changed as I saw their lives changed by the message of the Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith both in private and in public. I pray and read from the scriptures each morning both personally and with my husband. We study the Gospel of Jesus Christ together at least once a week in our home. I serve in my congregation in the women's organization and have the opportunity to teach and lead other women to know the Savior better. I visit other women in my congregation at least monthly to discuss the gospel and serve together.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, Mormons are Christians. The official name of the church is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." We believe that only through Jesus Christ we can return to live with our Heavenly Father after this life. We believe that Jesus Christ lived a perfect life and suffered and died for our sins. We believe that He lives today because He was resurrected. Because of that, we too will be resurrected. Through Him, we can receive the strength to do what Heavenly Father wants us to. He is the leader of this Gospel. Show more Show less
