Hi I'm Katie Kratzer

I'm a Army brat. I'm serving a mission in Tempe Arizona, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an 19 year old college Sophomore studying Early Child development/Special Education. I have decided to pause my schooling in order to serve an 18 month mission. I am the sixth of seven children and was raised in a military family. I love music and to cook.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS family. My dad was raised LDS and my mom was raised Catholic. She was baptized when she was about 18. While I was raised Mormon it was ultimately my choice. My parents never forced their beliefs on me. My conversion story started during my freshman year . I never had a big fantastical spiritual moment but mine was more like a plant. It grew slowly and steadily. I attended early morning scripture study diligently through out high school and because of the influence of a great teacher I came to really love the gospel. I'm a Mormon because I knew it's true. I know the Lord has a plan for me and I can get there by following the teaching found in the scriptures and from the prophets. I'm a Mormon because I have seen the joy and blessings this gospel has brought into my life and the lives of those around me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I'm serving an 18 month mission in the Tempe Arizona Mission. Before I left I taught many of the children of different age groups in our congregation. I always loved seeing their faith in the Lord.
