Hi I'm Sam

I´m a itunes enthusiast. I´m a lefty. I´m a BYU student. I´m currently serving a mission in Cuiabá, Brasil. And I´m Mormon.

About Me

I'm the second of five boys. My brothers are my greatest joy in life. I was born in Arizona and attended two semesters at BYU. I now am serving in the Cuiabá, Brasil Mission. Being a missionary is incredible. Before the mission, I spent most of my time listening to music or going to live concerts. Music is the biggest joy in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that this gospel is true. I have prayed to know the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I received a witness of its truth. Because of this witness, I know that Joseph Smith did in fact see Father and Christ. It's incredible what can be made known unto us if we pray to Heavenly Father. He will answer our prayers.

How I live my faith

My way of living my faith is fulfilling my home teaching responsibilities and priesthood duties. My life is a day to day struggle with the world because the world is a difficult thing to conquer. The way I rise above the world is daily prayer and faith in Christ's teachings. And when I do make mistakes, I know that I can improve and be forgiven through Christ's Atonement. This cycle of self-correcting is what makes my life better. I am constantly trying to improve and become more like my brother, Christ.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Sam
We as members of the church have immensive gratitude with what Joseph Smith did and what he brought forth. He was a prophet of the living God and he translated the Book of Mormon by the power of that same God. Even though we are really grateful for his actions, we do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship the God and loving Heavenly Father that called him to be a prophet and restore the true church of Jesus Christ here on earth again. Show more Show less
