Hi I'm Markus Evans

I love being outside, listening to music, T-Bird football and chillin' with my family and friends. I rock LRG! And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in the beautiful Wisconsin, Milwaukee mission and becoming a wonderful priesthood man. I'm from North Salt Lake, UT. I am the oldest of 4 crazy cool kids. My family means everything to me. I am half-Samoan; half-caucasian and full of Swagger. I love doing anything outside. Listening to chill electronic music is my cure-all. Before leaving on my mission, I completed a year of college at SUU; reppin a football helmet as well. I want to major in Psychology and have some ideas where I want to go with it, but we'll see!

Why I am a Mormon

Because I received a special witness from the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. I was also born into this church and became a member when I was baptized at age 8. I chose to be a Mormon later in life when I decided to actually engage and put forth effort in my faith. One can be a member and be blessed, but until they actively participate in the Atonement of Jesus Christ and keep the commandments along with other essential principles, they will miss out on even more benefits and blessings. When I chose to be a Mormon, I could recognize and feel the Savior's hand in my life more abundantly. I am a Mormon because it brings me true happiness. I am a Mormon because it brings families closer together. Enjoying this life and all its blessings with your family, is what this is all about. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Faith in my Lord, Savior and Redeemer is how i Live. I live my faith by my actions, behavior, and attitude. I also live it by inviting anyone and everyone to receive and enjoy the blessings of being a Latter-Day Saint. I live my faith by studying in the Book of Mormon every day. I also live my faith by bettering myself each and every day.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Markus Evans
Have you ever hiked to the top of a mountain and looked out into a vast valley and you feel like you can see for miles and miles on end? Have you ever been on a plane and once you've reached the highest point looked out your window and witnessed the massive bed of fluffy clouds directly beneath the plane? Have you ever been to Hawaii and seen the beautiful waterfalls with rainbows positioned perfectly around it? Have you ever held a child in its infancy and seen a smile followed by laughter after you make a funny face at them? Have you ever prayed strongly for guidance in your life and shortly after a couple young men in suits knock on your door? For those of you who have experienced one or more of these, how could you think there isn't a God? All things denote there is a God. These are but a few examples that illustrate His infinite power, wisdom, and love for all of His children. Show more Show less
