Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a wife, a mom, a sister, an aunt, a daughter. I love learning and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a busy mother of six, I have 5 boys and 1 girl. I enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, biking, reading, cooking, sewing, singing, playing piano, making cards, paper folding, cocheting, visiting with friends, watching movies, scrapbooking, and playing volleyball, softball, and basketball. While these are all things I enjoy most of my time is filled running kids from one activity to the next and cleaning up after them. Not to mention the never ending mountain of laundry.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the church but that didn't keep me from questioning and seeking out answers on my own. As a teenager and young adult I had to find out for myself what I truely believed. Because of my upbringing I knew that I had a loving Father in Heaven who would hear and answer my prayers. So that is what I did, I prayed and listened for answers. I also started studying my scriptures and was amazed at how answers to even normal everyday problems seemed to just come. When my husband and I started having children we wanted to be obedient and have me stay home to raise them. We didn't know how we could make this happen since we needed both of our incomes to pay all of our bills. After our first child was born and it neared the time I was to return to work we still didn't know how this desire was going to be possible. So we began to fast and pray more fervantly, in response we were able to find a cheaper appartment and my husband recieved a very substantial raise at work almost completely making up the difference my lost income would have created. Through this experience and many many others I have learned to respond to the Lord as Nephi, "I will go and do the things which the Lord has commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandment unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they my accomplish the thing which he commandeth them." 1Nephi 3:7.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live as the Savior would have me live. I recently was the president of the Parent Teacher Organization and my boys' school. I did this for 3 years, and as such I spent many many hours at there school organizing and assisting with numerous activities and events. In everything I did I tried to conduct myself in a manner that would please our Heavenly Father and show his love to his children. I currently have the opportunity to lead the choir at church. I love music and enjoy this opportunity I have to share this love with others. When selecting and preparing pieces to perform I seek the Lord's guidence so that we as a choir are able to help share the message of the gospel and invite the spirit of the Lord to be with us. My greatest hope is that I am living in such a way that others who see me will want to know why I am so happy because I am happy knowing that I am fortunate enough to have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life.
