Hi I'm Trenton

I grew up in Southern California, I play water polo, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in Southern California. I played water polo for about five years, year round. I have played in the junior olympics for club water polo, and I have been on the winning team for CIF. I have been to a semester in college at BYU-I, My studies are in the field of biology, mostly because I want to be a dentist. Currently I am serving a mission in the South, in the Georgia Macon Mission. I love serving the Lord and wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now in my life. I have grown up with great examples in my life that have caused me to serve and to be the person that I am now. I believe in being yourself, no matter what the situation. Being someone else is just too much work! I am a little laid back, but I am set when I have made a decision. I like going out and doing things more than watching them on the t.v. because that is just boring. However I could spend the whole day at the beach if I could! I love God more than anything else and knows that he truly loves me to. And I want to go forth and spread that love to everyone that I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and eventually studied it out for myself to come to know that it is the true church of Jesus Christ. Throughout my life I have always questioned the things of the Church, but never did much to find answers. When I went off to college is when I really started to read the Book of Mormon every day, I also started to pray every night asking my Father in Heaven if the Book of Mormon was the true word of God. I didn't really receive my answer until my mission though. I was teaching one day and the question came up, how do you know this is all true? I was so taken aback at the question, at first I didn't know how to respond. But all of the sudden I felt this overwhelming peace, and a voice in my mind saying, you have always known that it is true. After that experience I kept reading the scriptures and always felt so peaceful and so good inside. I knew that it was the truth and with it I knew that Joseph Smith had to be a true prophet of God. My testimony of the truthfulness of this church never ceases to grow. With that I have seen the joy in my life that I have received; by knowing what I am doing is the right thing. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one and only true church on this Earth today.

How I live my faith

I have always been one to stand up for what I believe in. Whether it is not swearing in sports or explaining why we believe in some of the things that we do. But when it really comes down to how I live my faith, it is by sharing the joy I have with others. The biggest way I have been able to do this is by serving a mission. While I have been out I have been able to share what I know to be true with so many different people. Another big part of our church is providing service, I always look for opportunities to serve others. There are few things in life that make you feel happier than by improving someone’s life. I live my faith every day of my life, being on a mission only makes it easier to recognize how I can live my faith.
