Hi I'm Sarah L.

I love to Travel, Eat and Spend time with family.

About Me

In 2007 I had a lot of change in my life. I graduated college, got married, moved to a new city and started a new job! We joke now as we look back, that we thought it was SO much change at once. But life keeps going and more changes happen all the time. We lived in San Francisco for 4 years before moving back to the LA area so that my husband could go to graduate school. I miss San Francisco terribly, but I am lucky because the move meant that I now get to live near my Parents, grandparents and extended family, so I spend a lot of time with them. I love to eat (fancy food, hole-in-the-wall food, and all the inbetween food) - my husband and I are constantly searching out the next most delicious thing to try - and I love to travel. I've been to 6 of the 7 continents, and am anxious to make it an even 7 someday! I'm also an avid reader (with a long commute for work, I read at least one book a week so I'm always seeking out recommendations) and love all literary styles.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a strong testimony of Jesus Chris and the restoration of the gospel on the earth. I know that there are prophets on the earth today who speak daily with our Lord and are able to provide detailed revelation that's applicable to our daily lives. I know that our Heavenly Father loves each of us specifically and I think that is one of the strongest parts of my testimony. I feel that love each and every day. Not to say that life is easy just because I know God loves me, but it is such a comfort to know that he is there for me at all times and is constantly watching over me.

How I live my faith

My husband and I teach a weekly Sunday School class in our congregation called the "Be a better Member Missionary" Class, which helps all of us to improve our ability to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. It's a great class for me to teach because I am not always the best at sharing my beliefs with others. By being involved in the Member Missionary Class, it pushes me to be more vocal about my testimony of Jesus Christ - because you can't teach a class on being better at missionary work without it rubbing off on you! The LDS Church does a great job at giving you callings that push you outside your comfort zone and strengthen your testimony but always giving you the support you need to excel at your assignments.
