Hi I'm Besnon Hill

My name is Benson Hill. I was born and grew up in Jacksonville Florida. I have 11 children and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in January of 1950. That was a time in the history of the world that was a great time to be born. The Second World War had just ended a few years earlier, and the United States as well as the rest of the world was trying to get back to some form of normal lifestyle. It was a time that the world could set back and start to take full advantage of the fact that the “restoration of all things” had already taken place. It was over the next 60 or so years that so many great and wonderful inventions have come about in the world. The knowledge in the world has increased so much that the world is totally unaware of where that knowledge comes from. The world actually thinks they are smart enough to understand and capable enough to create so many of the worlds comforts. Little do they know where they would be without Devine intervention. I am lucky enough today to have a wonderful and faithful wife and family of 11 chilren and currently 28 grandchildren...and still growing. We live in one of the most beautiful places on earth, Central Kentucky and we enjoy the peace and wonder of the world and all the Lord's beautiful creations. I work as a Consultant for a small engineering company and have the opportunity to travel around the world and enjoy the wonders of all that the world has to offer. I love my life, my family and most assuredly I love my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

It is with the humblest of hearts that I attempt to express to you, as my friends, the feelings that I have deep within my heart. The feelings that tell what a man really is, and what a man really will become. I would like for my friends to know that I have a sincere but yet simple testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have truly tested its principles and precepts to the end that I can testify with all surety that it is the true and living word of God. I have studied the life of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I testify to each of you and to the world, that He is the only true and living God of this world. I have felt his presence and experienced His hand of forgiveness. I look forward to the day that I can stand side by side with the Master and take full advantage of the atoning sacrifice, which He provided. I have made a commitment to my Heavenly Father that I will strive to live my live in such a way that I will be worthy of being with Him once again. I want each of you to know that I truly know and understand that God lives, He truly lives. Jesus is in reality the Savior and Redeemer of the world. He is the only way to return to the presence of the Father and receive the exaltation and eternal lives that awaits each of us. I have lived in a world that has been very kind to me. I have not been involved in war, or oppression, I have been a free man my entire mortal existence, for this I will always be grateful. I was born in a land that provided me with the freedoms and privileges that few have ever realized. I was also born without any physical defects, as were my children, for this I am truly grateful to my Heavenly Father. I promise each one of you, with every fiber of my being, if you will strive to keep the commandments of the Lord, He will bless you with blessings that will lift you to the eternal heights of Godhood in the world to come. I simply know that it is true. With all my love…..in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

“Man are that they might have joy.” That is the real purpose of the existence of man. The Lord wants us to be happy, He wants us to enjoy our lives here on the earth. He also expects us to live in accordance with the principles of the Gospel that will assure us of those joys and the happiness we seek in the future. The greatest accomplishments that can come to a man are the services he renders to others. Not necessarily to his family, but to those that he has no cause to help. Callings in the church are of the utmost importance to you as you serve not only the Lord, but those whom receive the benefits of your service. When the early Saints lived and worked in Nauvoo, they were asked to sacrifice a minimum of 10% of their time to working on the erection of the temple. They not only gave 10% of their income, but also gave 10% of their time to the building up of the kingdom of God here on the earth. It would be my great desire that my posterity learn that the blessings that can come from service to others are the greatest blessings that can come from our Heavenly Father. Serving ourselves, and our families are certainly important, but when we lose ourselves in the service of others we lose ourselves in the service of God. I have served many years in the church, as a bishop, home teacher, currently as a High Counselor and many other positions over the years. All of these callings and many hours of donated time are simply oppotunities to serve others. The greatest gifts we have received from our Heavenly Father is our ability to serve others in His kingdom.
