Hi I'm Kim

I was born at home in California. I'm a homemaker with 5 kids. I was a retail manager for many years in the past. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have five kids- four girls and one boy. I am finally able to stay at home and teach my children. I love to sing, dance, play piano and create things. I am branching out in learning to cook. Once I am done with my Family Home Evening projects, I plan to devote some time to learning how to sew my own clothes and clothes for my children My husband and I are not sealed yet, but that is a goal of ours, hopefully by the end of this year!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all my life. I did choose to follow a different path than the straight and narrow many years ago. I wish I hadn't. I have always known that the gospel is true and it is the only church I have been to that makes sense to me. I have had the opportunity to visit other churches of other faiths and I have never felt the spirit like I have when I am in my home church. I have seen and experienced the amazing things that come from being a member. I have been helped by the people in my wards, I have done service projects with the members of my wards. I have the fullness of the Gospel, and it has helped me through some pretty tough times. When I have felt utter despair, I have been able to turn to my Father in Heaven and KNOW that he is listening and sending comfort and love. I am comforted knowing that this is not the end, this isn't all there is to life. I will see my loved ones again one day. Charity is the pure love of Christ and I have seen more charity through Latter-Day Saints than anyone else. I do recognize that other faiths are also charitable and do many amazing and wonderful things. My object is not to impugn anyone else. There is no feeling as wonderful as following the Gospel and knowing that I am on the true path of righteousness and on my way to living with my Father in Heaven someday!

How I live my faith

I have yet to serve in the branch I am currently attending, but I believe the Branch President is changing that in just two days' time! I have, in the past, served as Cub Scout Master and Ward Chorister. I have taught lessons in the "Gospel Essentials" class that is offered through the church- I highly recommend this class for any who are confused or new to the LDS church. Like I've mentioned, I've been a member all my life and this class has made things so simple, it is hard to imagine NOT understanding the Gospel.
