Hi I'm Adam

I grew up in Idaho, went to school at Brigham Young University and Arizona State University. I am a clarinetist. I'm a Mormon.

He is currently Associate Professor of Music at Colorado Mesa University where he teaches clarinet and coordinates the music education program. He received his Bachelor' s Degree in Music Education from Brigham Young University. While in Utah, he performed with the Orchestra at Temple Square, which included performing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and recording soundtracks for motion pictures produced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In July 2002, Dr. Ballif participated in the Belgium Clarinet Academy and presented a paper titled, "Benny Goodman Influences Classical Composition, " at the 2002 International Clarinet Association's convention in Stockholm Sweden. In Arizona he was principal clarinetist with the Mesa Symphony Orchestra and taught instrumental music at the elementary and middle school levels. His principal clarinet teachers include Robert Spring, William Holman, and Alan Stanek. Dr. Ballif remains active as a performer and clinician. Recent and upcoming presentations and performances include appearances at the Colorado Music Educators Conference, Music at Temple Square Concert Series, and the International Clarinet Association ClarinetFest.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church in Pocatello Idaho. I was taught gospel principles at home and church. I was taught in primary, the scouting program, learned my priesthood duties in the young men's program and prepared to serve a mission. I served a mission in the California Roseville Mission. I graduated from BYU, met my wife Kristi and was married in the Idaho Falls Temple. I currently serve in the stake high council in Grand Junction Colorado. I am Mormon because I have had a spiritual witness that the Savior Jesus Christ lives and leads this Church. My testimony has grown throughout my life in both large and small ways. I notice each day Heavenly Father's hand in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through regular church attendance, seeking to fulfill and magnify my calling, and by sharing my church experiences with those around me. I am not afraid to admit that I am a Mormon, but look for and enjoy talking about the gospel of Jesus Christ with those around me.
