Hi I'm Ashley

I grew up in Wyoming, now living in Utah earning my veterinary technician associate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a country girl. Love the outdoors and spending time with my animals. My favorite thing to do is ride horses. Right now I am going to school to become a veterinary technician. I also enjoy playing sports and being active. Life is too short to just sit around!

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church, and I know for myself that it is true. I know that there is a Father in Heaven who created us and has a plan for us to return home to Him. Although we live in a world of troubling times, I know he loves each and everyone of us. We are all His children and He does care and answer all our prayers. Sometimes He doesn't answer them the way we want Him to, but He knows everything and wants us to grow, so it requires us to have faith in Him, that He is doing what is best for us. The gospel is really a simple thing, but we tend to complicate things. Saying prayers, attending church, reading scriptures, they are all simple things we need to do to be on the right path to draw closer to our Heavenly Father. I'm grateful for the atoning sacrifice Jesus Christ made for each and everyone of us, because He loved us that much and wanted us to return back home and be able to repent of our sins. The greatest thing is that the atonement is for everyone, and its free. The only thing we need to do is our best and all that we can, and the Lord makes up the rest. We all make mistakes, but we can repent and the Lord will forgive us. I'm grateful to be a part of this wonderful restored gospel, and know that I know, feel what I feel, and have faith in my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ, because without this gospel, I have no clue where I'd be. This gospel is the rock and foundation in my life.

How I live my faith

One of the greatest things about this gospel is that it is for everyone and because the Lord loves all of us, we are here to help him reach out to all His children. I live my faith by being a friend to everyone I meet, sharing the pure love of Christ. In my ward I go with other sisters to visit those who are struggling and are having a hard time. We offer our services in anyway that they may need help, whether it is just being a friend and inviting them to activities, helping them through hard times, helping with cleaning, moving, or any type of project, or just bringing them meals or treats when they are sick. I know when I reach out to people they can feel not only my love for them, but the Lord's love as well, and the love of God is most desirable.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

The Lord loves all of his children and we are the Lord's servants, willing to help all those around us, whether they be Mormons or not. When serving our fellow man, no matter their faith, we are serving the Lord. Show more Show less
