Hi I'm Tino

I grew up in Tubuai when to school in Tahiti. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Tino i was born in French Polynesia on a little tiny island call Tubuai. Then 17 years after i was born i move to Tahiti for high school. I served a full time mission in my country from 2008-2010. And then 6 months after i finished my mission i went to Brigham Young University of Hawaii (BYU) to get more education. So, now i'm in BYU Hawaii working hard to get my education.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raise as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, particularly known as "Mormon". So, I think the question for me should be "Why i'm still a Mormon?" As a little boy, I did what every little children does, which is to follow there parents. So, my parents brought me to Mormon church every Sunday and it became a habit to me. As i grew up, going to church became more and more boring to me and be a Mormon became more difficult, because the values that have taught to me at home and at church are really hard to keep, for it keeps me apart from other children which are not in my faith. However, as i began to ponder if i'm really in a true church, i started to pray, to read and ponder about the veracity of the Book of Mormon. For, if the Book of Mormon is false the Mormon church is false too. While i was doing that , great felling came into my soul and my heart which, reminded me the words of the apostle Paul in Galatians chapter 5 verse 22 "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith". Moroni, a prophet in the Book of Mormon said that by the power of the Holy-Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. So, those good feeling as peace and love that i felt while i was reading and ponder about the Book of Mormon testy to me that the Book of Mormon is true. And since that day, i gain a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is truly the church of God. And, it is because of my testimony i'm still a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy living my faith for it helps me to progress in my life and be a better person. All the church callings that i have in my ward, have helped me to be more patience, more faithful, more responsible and more organizing.
