Hi I'm Amy

I'm an energetic, fun loving wife and mother of three. I enjoy running, biking, skiing and laughing! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest of five children. I grew up in beautiful Cache Valley Utah and spent much of my youth playing sports and spending time with my family. I met my husband while in college and together we worked our way through school. I graduated with a degree in Mathematics Education and taught middle and high school for several years. Once we started having children, I was able to stay home with them, which is what I do today. We have three cute kids and I enjoy using my skills to teach and raise them! My husband and I have been married for 11 years now. We love doing home improvement projects together. On my own time, I enjoy a good workout - running, biking and swimming as well as laughing, playing games with my family and definitely eating yummy chocolate brownies every now and then!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. I have always had the gospel in my life and truly appreciate the things I've learned and been taught. I remember when I was nine or ten, having a longing for "home," our heavenly home. I remember being overwhelmed with the feeling that I really do have a Heavenly Father and Mother who love me. That was the basis of my own personal testimony and it only grew larger as I grew older. Through good parents, church leaders and good friends I have come to gain a strong testimony of the plan of salvation. I am so very thankful to know who I am, where I came from and where I am going after this life is over.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by the small and simple things I do each day. Living my faith means living as Christ would live. I try to do this by being a good example to my children; loving them and teaching them. It's helping my neighbor build a sandbox or stopping to have a chat with a lonely friend, taking a meal into a neighbor that just had a baby, welcoming new families to the neighborhood or watching a friend's children while she runs to the store. On Sundays, I help teach the young women (ages 12-18). We also have Tuesday night activities each week where the youth and leaders can meet and strengthen one another through games, lessons and service opportunities. I also enjoy volunteering on the soccer field as a coach for my son's team and in my children's classrooms at school. I am not perfect as Christ is, but knowing each day that I can be better and do better gives me something to look forward to.
