Hi I'm Jackie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother, a sister, a daughter, an aunt and a wife. I am an independent contractor in the business field and I volunteer at my boys elementary school school overseeing box tops and labels for education. I also work with Boy Scouts of America in their Cub Scout program helping packs to grow and suceed. I have a degree in business and played college basketball. I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking and camping. I also enjoy baking to relax.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother joined the church when I was four. It created a lot of friction in my home growing up. When I was eleven, I was given the choice to join. I knew at eleven years old that being baptized was the right choice. Over time I have never waivered in my decision to join the church. I have a peace and joy that I feel knowing that I am a child of God. My faith in God has helped me feel at peace with the passing of my father. I felt such an incredible peace almost as if God had his arms around me giving me a hug at one of the saddest times in my life. I know that God hears and answers prayers. From my most simple prayers of gratitude to my great pleas for help, God hears and answers. I am a Mormon because I know that Christ lives. I know he is my Savior. I know that we have a prophet on earth today who leads Christ's church. I know that we have special witness' of Christ in Appostles. I know all this by the feelings of peace that I receive from the Holy Ghost. I am a Mormon because I feel the peace and joy that come from living the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in seval different ways. As a mother, I try and teach my children correct principles. I try and teach my childrent the importance of work and school. I spend time with my kids reading and playing games because family time is precious. In church I serve and work with multiple congregations overseeing their cub scout programs. I help to train new cub scout leaders and answer any questons they may have about scouting.  Another way I live my faith is through my professional career. I have the flexiblity to work from home when I need to. I know this is because of a trust I have built with my employer. I also volunteer at my childrens elementary school to do what I can to be a positive influence for the school. The reason I joined my school's PTA was to help my neihbor who became the PTA president. My neighbor needed support and I wanted to help. I live my faith by the love and support I show my husband through good and bad times. I do my best to live my faith by being happy and positive and a good influence on those around me.
