Hi I'm Sofia.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

What to share about me?! Well I love classic movies like National Velvet. I love to go to gym. I'm just starting to go back to school, I work full time and am trying to balance out school, work, and finding time for family, friends and dating. I love children and animals. My goal is to own a business I love.

Why I am a Mormon

When I learned what The Church of Jesus Christ belives to be true about the after life and the different degrees of glory the spirit testified to me that this was truth. I grew up with a mother who suffers from schizophrenia and a abusive alcholic father. I lived a very crazy life going from one place to the next never really having a place to call home. I went to a few different churches growing up but nothing felt right. I prayed all the time and asked God where it was I needed to be. I lived a life that was very different than the standards of the church and said to my self "I could never joing a church like that... " then I said "Id never move so far away from my family" but the lord had a plan for me. I was baptised May 2, 2009. It started with a desire to be where God wanted me to be and once I felt that spirit there was no turning back and for the first time in my life I have hope for my future.

How I live my faith

I work in a enviorment where my beliefs are questioned often but living my faith helps me stay strong to do the things I know Jesus wants me to do. I'm a Visitng Teaching supervisor and recently have been called to the Compassionate Service Leader. These callings give me a chance to get to know and serve people I don't know very well but when I serve them the closer I feel the the savor.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Not everyone has had a opportunity to be baptised so the members of the church are able to stand as a proxy for them. It gives our loved ones a chance to partake of the plan of salvaion. Show more Show less
