Hi I'm Diane Terry Staten

I'm the mother 0f 7, grandmother of 11. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

i grew up in a small town in Idaho. Father was a farmer. I hoed beets, pulled weeds from the potatoes, worked onn spud combine, drove tractors and trucks. Went to Ricks where I met my husband. We had 7 children, 4 boys and 3 girls. One daughter was killed in a car accident at 15 years of age. I've been a waitress, Idaho spud inspector, substitute teacher for 14 years pre-school aide for 3 years. Now am reservation agent for USAirways. Been there 5 years. I am on my third bout of cancer in 3 years but the Lord has blessed me as i almost died 3 times. I am happy, blessed and a living miracle. .

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and always figured it was true but I had to search the scriptures, and pray to really get my own testimony. The church offers so many good things but it is the true church of Christ. The Lord has anwered my prayers so many times and I have had so many Priesthood blessings that have been answered. Once I truly got a testimony of Joseph Smith's First Vision everything else fell into place. I don't know where I would be without it. I know that God lives and that He loves me. I know that Jesus is the Christ and my savior and redeemer. I know that Joseph Smith truly saw the Father and the Son and restored toe gospel. I know that prayers are answered. I am a living proof of that. During my battle with cancer I have had so many prayers offered on my behalf and been given such wonderful Priesthood blessings. I am alive because of those. I dont know how long I will live but each day is a wonderful blessing and I try to live eadh day the best i can. I am richly blessed because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to read my scriptures each day and pray. I try to live the way I know that my Savior would want me to. I truly love others. I have obtained so many friends by living as I should. In my church callings I have been a chorister, primary and sunday school teacher, young womerns leader, secretary, primary president, leader in all 3 cubscout groups, assistant cubmaster, visiting teacher, supervisor & Relief Society teacher, & Gospel Doctrine teacher. In each calling I've learned so much and grown more in the gospel. I love going to church each Sunday as it helps me through the week and gives me strength to go on when things get tough. I have been involved in organizing various events for the church. if I do my best the Lord always gives me help to do things that i normally couldn't,
