Hi I'm Allison Doxey

I'm from Utah, I'm a missionary in the Texas Fort Worth Mission, I love life, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I am a missionary and I love it! I'm the third child in a family of 7 kids and I'm sure I get on all of their nerves but they still love me :) I like playing ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and rugby (the palagi version). I love my dogs and I LOVE reading! I will read just about everything, from children's books to Charles Dickens but my favorite book ever is the Book of Mormon. I love the peace and happiness that this book brings into my life and love to share it with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not only because I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but because I chose to be one. I grew up with parents that taught me to read my scriptures, say my prayers and I always believed this church to be true but now I know it is. I love my Savior and my Heavenly Father and I know without a doubt that they love me. I know that through reading my scriptures daily, talking with my Father in Heaven in prayer, and living within the guidelines set by the prophets and apostles I can have the strength to endure the trials this life offers and I can live with more happiness than I ever thought possible. No matter what I go through I know that life will be easier if I stay close to the Savior.

How I live my faith

I love to learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ and I am excited to share this with other people. I love studying all of the incredible truths that are to be found in the Book of Mormon and applying them in my life. I understand how crazy life gets. Sometimes it's hard and sad but I have come to realize that I can be happy through all of the craziness if I am doing my best to live right and I want everyone else to have the same opportunity. I make mistakes and I forget my blessings sometimes but I am striving everyday to become more like our Savior, Jesus Christ.
