Hi I'm Daniel Gordon

I grew up in Chino Hills, California. I love to sing choir music, a cappella, and barbershop. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and currently serving my mission for the Church. I love to sing, and was in a choir all four years of high school. I took two semesters of college before my mission, and sang in the top choir there, along with the school's all-male a cappella group. I love a good barbershop song, especially one with a great tag! I love to read books, especially fantasy books; I am not ashamed to say I'm a nerd, and i love to play Dungeons & Dragons! Video games are also great, and i'm always down for an Action/RPG. I'm weird, I'm musical, and I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I want to be. I grew up in the Church, got baptized at 8, and served faithfully in my callings. I haven't always been the strongest member of the Church, and haven't been the best example to those around me. My faith wasn't always front and center, but it was there. I never went inactive or anything, but i was a lukewarm member. Then, in high school, i started to realize just how important the Church was to me, for a number of reasons. I became more willing to say, "Yes, I'm Mormon" to my friends, and to really strive to be that example. My faith in this Church is incredibly strong, and I have a firm testimony of the truthfulness of it! I'm a Mormon because this Church is true, and I know that it is!!!

How I live my faith

I served in various youth callings during junior high and high school; I served as the leadership of each age group I was in, which was very good for me. I am currently living my faith by serving a two year mission to the Mexico Cuernavaca Mission for my Church. I'm learning to speak Spanish, and every day feel the Spirit of God as I work. I'm excited to share the Gospel with everyone that I meet, and regret not having done so when I was younger. I am proud to bear both my name and Christ's on my nametag. I strive to be the best missionary i can be, and invite as many to the Gospel of Christ as will accept. I am a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and i do my best to stay true to what that means!
