Hi I'm Katy

I'm from Snowflake, Arizona. I dance, paint, I'm a CNA, a student, a PT Tech, and I'm a Mormon Missionary (in training).

About Me

I love music, dancing, art, working on rooftops with my dad, and just life in general. Currently I'm serving a mission. I have been called to serve in the Korean Daejeon Mission! I was working as a Physical Therapy Technician/Aid for Summit Health Care and I loved my job. I became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) when I was 17, but I find so much joy in dancing that I wanted to find a career in which I could implement it; so I had planned on becoming a PTA or Physical Therapist to work with dance injuries. As of right now I'm not sure if my plans will change again. When I started making plans my junior year in high school I thought I had everything planned out, but within the last year or so I have found out that plans can change. I'm grateful for prayer, the words of the prophet, and the promptings of the Spirit that push me in the right direction.

Why I am a Mormon

I have wonderful parents, two great brothers, and one amazing sister who have families, and are the best examples of righteous living. I have been raised in the gospel and I am so grateful. I think one of the most wonderful blessings is that the gospel strengthens families; and the home is the most fundamental place for learning the teachings of Christ. However, I have felt the burning of the spirit in my heart and have had the witness of truth to my mind within my own study. I have learned the importance of the atonement and the importance of having my own testimony. I'm a Mormon because there is no denying what I have been taught and what the Lord has given me.

How I live my faith

I participate in any way I know how. I love attending my church meetings and learning about Christ. I loved spending time in youth activities when I was younger, and now that I have graduated, the organizations for young adults. I love visiting with many members of my home ward and now my singles branch. I have attended a church school and I just try to live the way my parents taught. I am also loving my current calling to serve in Korea Daejeon Mission.
