Hi I'm Samuel

I'm from New Jersey. I currently attend the Georgia Institute of Technology studying Aerospace Engineering. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 4 kids. All of us are pretty spread out around the country varying from New Jersey, Georgia, Tennessee and Utah. I am attending college and studying Aerospace Engineering. I love the concept of flight. I love space and exploring the unknown. I also like to do many other things like basketball, football, mountain biking, and sailing. I am always amazed of the beauty of this world. How blessed we are to be here. To live, to breath, to grow and learn, to enjoy life as we know it.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was blessed to be raised in a family where this gospel was a part of our lives. I would say that finding out for myself was a critical point in my life. I remember as I was going through high school and my first year of college I didn't understand the gospel or the concept of God being a part of all of our lives. I went through some deep personal challenges that led me to a point where I decided that I needed to know if Jesus Christ was truly my Savior. I decided that if I received my answer to this prayer to know if the Atonement or sacrifice he made was real, that I would stop going down the path that I knew contradicted what the Savior taught. For the first time in my life I felt like the pain and stress I had been carrying on my own were relieved, that the future was bright with a hope of good things to come. I knew my prayers had been answered. I also knew that prayers worked. Heavenly Father answered my prayers concerning Joseph Smith and the restoration of the Gospel. It has changed my life for I know that God has a plan for all of us and our families.

How I live my faith

Something I really love about the Gospel is that the more we live it, the more genuine happiness we feel in our lives. As I attend the church and the temple my feelings of doubt and fear are replaced with confidence and strength. Seeking the love of my Heavenly Father and the Savior drive me to share my love with everyone. Service is a big way of showing this for me. I don't mean like big service projects although those are great ways of showing love also. I am speaking of the little things made on a moments decision. The opportunities to help others in need, often without them asking for it. Chances to help clean a spill, to open the door for others, to guide and assist others when they are in an unfamiliar place, and many others. Family is also an important aspect of my faith. I truly believe that we are placed in our families for a specific purpose. I know that my parents and brother and sisters were the only people that could have taught, comforted, and strengthened me the way they have. It amazed me how the Lord works through people to bring us back to him. I also know that we play a part in that as well so we must not hesitate in our opportunities to help our friends and families. The way I live my faith is the way I show my love and gratitude for the Savior and my Heavenly Father
