Hi I'm Lillian

I'm bilingual. I'm a middle child. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle child in between one older sister and one younger brother. I grew up in a bilingual home with my mom being from Honduras and my dad being from New York, but eventually took to speaking english regularly. In high school I was a saxophone player in the band, and tried swimming, track, and field. I just finished my first semester of college where I studied Architecture and discovered an interest for design. A goal of mine is to get my pilots license like my dad, but I'm not sure if I'd rather it be a career or hobby.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is the true church on the earth today, and the right thing for me to do in my life. My membership and activity in the church has given me friendships that I rely on deeply, a purpose in life, and the desire to always improve and become my best self. I know that I was put on this earth to learn, have a family, and help others, and that whatever mistakes I make along the way can be made well again through the gift and power of the atonement of Jesus Christ. I love my Savior and will serve Him by serving those around me, and by trying to understand my potential as a daughter of my Heavenly Father. I know that I am loved. That those around me are loved with the same power by our Heavenly Father, and that he wants what is best for us. I pray that everyone with the desire to have a relationship with Him can feel of his love, and feel the blessings he has given us.

How I live my faith

My mom stressed to me the value of being an active member in the community. As a member of the marching band, I participated in the city parades each year, and performed for the holiday festivals. I've been a girls camp counselor for the last couple years, and hope to return again this spring. While at camp, I became the skit director and had tons of fun writing scripts for movie themed skits that the girls put on. I'm currently preparing to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
