Hi I'm Marianna

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Marianna and I attend Brigham Young University. I am from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, the best place in the world. I was the only Mormon in my high school which was a defining moment in my life because it strengthened my testimony and enabled me to share the gospel every single day. I did a study abroad in London, England & a research experiment in the Grand Canyon. Traveling, photography, and politics are my passion. I have never been as happy as I am right now attending BYU and preparing to serve a mission in the California Rancho Cucamonga Mission. I have been able to strengthen my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Christ since coming to college. Being on my own has taught me to trust in His plan for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church, my parents taught me the truth from a young age. I have gone out and gained a testimony of my own and I love this church and the Savior, Jesus Christ. I choose to stay a "Mormon" because it makes me a better person. I am able to resist the temptations that I face every single day in a world where it is so hard to find light. I know that I am able to do this only through Christ. I know that He knows everything that I have felt and that He has paid the debt that I can never repay, which I am forever grateful for. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the church that Christ established when He was on the earth and that it is the only true church with everything needed for our eternal exaltation. I know that through this gospel I can be with my family forever and that is everything to me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through trying to be the best example I can be. When someone looks at me I want them to see the light of Christ. I am the oldest of five girls and the only Mormon from my high school so I know that there are so many people looking to see what I do and the choices I make. I live my faith by attending the temple as much as I can, I love being within walking distance of two temples. I want to be able to reach out to as many people as possible and make a real difference in their life for the better.
