Hi I'm Elder Collin Stauffer

I am the sixth oldest in my family, I am a hard worker when I want to be and I teach the good message of Christ and I am a Mormon

About Me

I am from the great city of Orem Utah, where I would spend time with my family and friends. I grew up in a family of 8 kids and a lot of dogs. We also got some chickens that we love. I love animals they are truly gifts from God. I love to spend time in Yellowstone national park with my family, searching for what runs around in that wonderful place on this earth. I spent a couple of years working in a restaurant in Provo Utah called Tucanos. That was a place of a lot of hours and hard work. It prepared me of what was next in my life. While working at Tucanos, I was preparing myself and getting things ready so that I could go on a mission. I now live in north Carolina and I was serving a mission in The North Carolina Raleigh Mission, but am now part of the Virginia Chesapeake Mission. I can't express how much love I have for North Carolina and Virginia and the people that live here that I get to serve. I know that the lord has and is blessing me every day of my life. I live to share the Gospel and I love to bring joy into peoples hearts as the gospel does, as well as a good laugh here and there. I share what is dear to me, I think that is all I can really say about myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the Love that I have for the Book of Mormon and the Gospel that it holds. I read the Book of Mormon every night for 2 months, until I finished it. I know that every night I got a reconfirmation that the Book of Mormon is true. This all came from the Holy Ghost. I would never give that experience up for the world. As well as coming to know that the Book is true, I grew up in the church with fantastic parents that from the day I was born started teaching me that the Church is true no matter what any one says. They also told me that I could not just go off of what they had told me, but that I must figure it out form myself, through reading and Praying about the Book of Mormon. Even though they told me to go figure it out for myself, I knew it was true because of the joy that I had in my life. I could and did connect the church with that joy. I would not change anything that happened to me in my life, to know, that I am a Son of God, a Mormon and am proud of it, because it is the true church once again on the earth.

How I live my faith

I am serving a Mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. I don't really know if there is am thing more that I can say about how I live my faith. I can say that I do what I am told by the leaders of the church, because I know that it is from the lord. I know that it is where all of the blessings of heaven come from. I spend all my time trying to figure out how to live my faith more and more every day. If I could say anything else it would be that I do what I do because of the testimony that I got of the Book of Mormon, the Gospel, and the Church. I would say that by praying, reading, going to church, and teaching the Gospel is how I live the faith.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Elder Collin Stauffer
The name of the church is the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints, so i would think that would mean that it is Christ, that is the founder, but after Christ was killed and all of his apostles as well. The authority went with them. This is where Joseph Smith comes in, he was called to restore the church the church of Christ, not Moses church or Joseph's Church, but Christ's church.
