Hi I'm Ethan

I have lived in Utah all my life. I enjoy the Church. Oh yeah, and I'm a Mormon (Latter-Day Saint).

About Me

I really like to play sports and just stay fit. I also enjoy food and drawing. I have a large family. There are eight children and there are fifteen grandchildren and I am also the youngest, it's pretty awesome. I am currently a missionary in the Texas Lubbock Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in this Church. People might say that I have it easy by being born into it but that is not true. My parents always made sure that I would go. I never did understand until I received the Aaronic Priesthood and read the Book of Mormon all the way through. I realized that I had the choice whether I would accept this or not. The reason why it's not a picnic to grow up in the church is because there is a certain standard, or attitude that you reflect. There are things that we are to commit ourselves to live by in our lives. Since I was brought along all my life it made me ponder,"Why do I have to do this?" When someone is converted into the church they make that choice on their own. As members already we have to make that choice of accepting the Gospel into our lives also. That is why there are some members that fall away, because they don't know the purpose. I would like to say that I have found out for myself that this Church, IS Christ's church. I have read the Book of Mormon and received my own answer. It was given to me in my own, unique way. Christ is our redeemer, exemplar, and friend. I love him and my Heavenly Father with my whole being. I am nothing without them or this Gospel. I know that God's work is for our salvation and that it will not fail. The Book of Mormon and the the standard works are most certainly our precious key to unlocking our opportunity to dwell in Heaven.

How I live my faith

Trying to follow the example that Jesus left for us and following his steps and "loving one another."

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Ethan
My family is so important to me because they are my closest and dearest friends. They understand me and accept me for who I am. They love me the way I am and wouldn't have me any other way. They support me in my endeavors and stress the importance of having a close relationship to my Savior Jesus Christ throughout my entire life. It is only through him that I can make it through this life and be what he wants me to become. Only through his sacrifice can we all live together as an eternal family through his grace, mercy, and suffering on our behalf. They respect me for the decision I've made to serve a mission and bring His children back unto him. Though I don't get to see them for a long time they understand why I'm doing it and help me wherever possible so that I can be the best missionary I can be. They know that they will be blessed and I will too, and that's their whole desire. Show more Show less
