Hi I'm Cherie.

I'm a Mormon. I’m a wife, mother and grandmother, as well as an educator and a student.

About Me

I work part time as an occupational therapy assistant and an educator. I’m also going to college full time to obtain my teaching license. I enjoy hiking, bicycling, staying active, and spending time with my fantastic family. I have 4 wonderful children, 3 adorable grandchildren and one amazing husband who bring great joy to my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Through the gospel, I feel hope, peace and direction in my life. I hope for the blessings of eternal life with my Heavenly Father and with my beloved family. I find peace and love in the tender mercies of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I feel direction from a living prophet who is a seer for our times. His words of counsel help me stay focused on the things that matter most in my life, reminding me and encouraging me to serve and love my family and others in my life. The scriptures also give me direction and comfort. One of my favorite scriptures is found in the book of Ether, which is in the Book of Mormon. It sums up how I feel. “Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.”

How I live my faith

I want to be always abounding in good works! I know when I do right, I feel right. Being a Mormon helps me be the kind of person I want to be. Whether I am serving women in my church, children in my community, or my own family, I am happiest when I am actively involved in doing good for others.
