Hi I'm McKade

I'm a son a brother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sibling to two brothers, one older and one younger. I am a son to amazing parents who have done their very best to raise me to be the best person I can be. I am a high school graduate, and a former football player. I played left offensive tackle, and defensive tackle on my High School team. I have lived in 5 different states while growing up and have been to 6 different schools. I am going to leave on my mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on July 12th. I am excited to go for 2 years to serve and help all those that I meet.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in the church, I have prayed and asked God, and it has been made known to me that what I believe is true. I have read the Book of Mormon and the Bible and believe in both. And I know that we are each sent to this Earth to do a great work. I continue to follow in this gospel because I believe it, I enjoy living it, and I know that I can make a positive difference in other people's lives. I know that in the Hands of God and as he uses me to bless others, that I can be more through him than I ever could be alone. I also am a Mormon because I know that God can do much more and much better things with my life, than I could do myself. I am a Mormon because I know that this is the true church, and because Jesus Christ is my Savior and I will always follow Him.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and do youth activities on Wednesday's. I like to provide service, such as going to other people's homes to see if we can help, or share topics about the gospel. And I try to set an example to my peers on how to act and to be Christ-like in my everyday actions. One of my favorite service projects was to work with others in my congregation to help clean up and care for a nearby cemetery. Within a few hours we were able to make a real difference, and pay respect to those who have passed on. Another way I live my faith is following standards that have been set for me, including staying away from drugs and alcohol, being morally clean, and doing good to others. I know what I believe, I know who I am, and I am glad to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I constantly pray to my Father in Heaven, and study the scriptures, I do this to try to grow closer to him, and be a better person for my family and everyone I meet. I find that when I successfully put my God first then I am better and more able to to do and be all that I need to be on that day. I also am living my faith by soon leaving to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Families are meant to be eternal, and to be with each other forever. It has been stated in scriptures as well as by modern prophets and apostles that families are meant to be with each other for all eternity. Families are also supposed to be how Heaven will be organized, and that is by Families. I am grateful for this knowledge, and I know that I love my family and I cannot think of anyone else i would rather spend eternity with. I will always be grateful for a God who has prepared a way to have me be with my family forever. Show more Show less
