Hi I'm Jessica

I love to travel and be outdoors. I love playing the piano and listening to music. I hope to be a nurse someday! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Utah and have grown up here all my life. I like running and spending time outdoors with friends and family. I like to watch movies and listen to lots of different kinds of music. I like to bake different types of desserts, and I especially like to decorate cakes! One of my favorite things to do is travel, I was able to travel to Mexico and Costa Rica on medical service trips to help people get the care they need when it was not available to them. Having this experience made me realize how much I love the medical field. As a result I am studying Public Health with the hopes of going to nursing school to become a nurse practitioner. I have also been able to see much of the United States and parts of Europe. Because of this I have realized that there are so many people to meet, talk to, and influence in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me to learn that we are not alone in this life. As I got older I wanted to find out for myself why going to church, reading the scriptures and keeping the Lord in my life was so important. It was during this time that I realized everything my parents wanted me to do when I was growing up was for my benefit. That we have a Savior Jesus Christ who supports us, helps us, and guides us through all the experiences and hard times that we have. I have realized that God has a plan, and we have so much potential. When I have tried to live my life as Jesus Christ did it is easier to see what things really matter in this life, which include family, serving others and keeping the commandments that God has given. I am Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon, I know that it is true because it has taught me that Jesus Christ is truly my Savior. Through Him I have hope, and know that he will make me a better person.

How I live my faith

We have this life to be happy! Service is one of the ways to be happy and experience what this life is about, and learn from other people and their experiences. I live my faith by trying to find ways to help others, put them before myself as Jesus Christ did and still does. I live my faith by trying my best to obey the commandments and learn from the teachings in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. They are our way to know God's will for us, and by making him a part of our lives He will help us to become the people he knows we can be.
