Hi I'm Rachel

I'm from Colorado Springs, I'm a Ballerina. I attend College in Salt Lake City Utah studying Business Management. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a ballerina through and through. I love to dance it is my passion. I have spent the past 12 years of my life working on becomming the best dancer I could be. spending countless hours in the studio in classes and in workshops. I learned so much about life, love and even about the gosple through my love of dance and the beauty of motion. I also had the amazing oppertunity to live overseas with my family in Germany for 6 months right after I graduated High School. I got to see Paris and Berin and lots of other amazing places. I was baffled by all the beautiful buildings that have withstood the test of time. This experince was truly a blessing in my life. My family currently still lives there and I moved all the way back over to the United States to start College.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to a wonderful active family with parents that love me more than I will ever know. Even my grandparents were active and expressed a profound love for me and showed me how much they wanted me to suceede. I was taught from the very begining all the princpals and doctrines of the gosple but that does not mean I was perfect or that I believed my entire life. Most of my life I just did things because they were expected of me. I was afraid of how others would judge me if I didn't do them. But when I was a teenager I struggled with my self confidence and fitting in with all the other students at my high school. I started to compromise my standards just slightly to fit in with them. I knew what was right and avoided it because I thought the world would have something better to offer. One day I looked in the mirror and saw what I had let myself become and for the first time in my life I was not happy with what I saw. In that moment I prayed and told my Heavenly Father everything. That prayer changed my entire life, I knew then that my Hevenly Father knew my needs and my struggles and that he truly cared, that has made all the diffrence in my life. Now I know that it is not about doing it to please those around you it is all about your relationship with the Savior. And now I draw on that relationship for everything, it is truly my rock.

How I live my faith

I wake up every morning and I do three things. First I shut off my annoying alarm and then I roll out of bed and start to speak with my Heavenly Father, I let him know how I feel this moring what my worries are for the comming day. I ask him to bless my family half way across the world and thank him that we are all sealed to each other for time and eternity. Then I walk to my closet and find an outfit that I feel is modest, in which I would not be afraid to stand in the presence of God. Throught the day any time I feel inadiquate for a situation I will offer a prayer. This also help me to maintain good language and an attitude that is more christ like. Everynight before going to sleep I read my scriptures and then kneel down and thank my Heavely Father for all of the blessings he gave me that day. It is a daily process which is so simple, but it brings so much indescribable joy to my life.
