Hi I'm Carol

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am simply a wife and mother, taking care of the needs of my family day after day. We live in a small town, and run our own business. We do have a rather large family, as we adopted five children - siblings - after raising our five biological children. I have gone back to college, so that I can help with the office work in our business. If there is ever any spare time, I enjoy yardwork, and music, my friends, and my grandchildren, datenights with my husband, and family activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel in my heart - in fact, in every fibre of my being - that this is the truest church on the face of the earth. I am a convert. I grew up in a strong and sincere Methodist church, and always knew and loved my Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ. But when I discovered the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I knew that there was more to know. This is the only church that has the authority of God to act in his behalf in the bestowal of the ordinances of baptism and blessings and the like. Others may, and do, in all sincerety of heart, follow the patterns that Jesus Christ established while he lived on earth - and they do much good. But Jesus and his apostles were killed, and there was no one left who could hold the authority of God. After a long, dark, period of time, when the people were once again ready and seeking, Jesus Christ restored his church, with all the keys and authority of God. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is that church. It contains the complete gospel of Jesus Christ, his plan of salvation for his children - to live in happiness on earth, and return to live with him again when this life is completed.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being true to what I believe every minute of every day. This is not to say that I am perfect by any means, just that I strive to do the best that I can and to treat people that way I would like to be treated. My current calling at church is to work with the young women's organization - that is the teenage girls. We meet weekly, on Wednesday nights, for activities and service projects, as well as every Sunday morning for a more spiritual class. Another activity I am involved in a church is Visiting Teaching, in which we ladies/sisters look out for each other. We pair up and are assigned a small group of other sisters whom we befriend (if we didn't know them already), and visit regularly, and be sure their needs are met. This is one of my favorite things to do. I have taken my turns at teaching Sunday School, being a cub scout leader, leading music, teaching and leading in the ladies' organization, teaching and leading in the children's Primary organization, and teaching the youth Seminary - or scripture-study class. Probably the most important thing I do is to teach my children to know and love our Heavenly Father, and to give them experiences in serving others.
