Hi I'm George Ford

I am a pediatric endocrinologist. I am married and a father of four children. I love Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and a father of four children. I have two daughters and two sons. I love spending time with my family. We have a lot of fun together. We enjoy having dance parties, reading books, playing outside, and laughing together. I finished my undergraduate degree in Russian Language and Literature at the University of Washington in Seattle. I chose to study Russian after serving a two year volunteer mission in Saint Petersburg, Russia. I went on to complete my MD degree at the University of Washington, pediatric residency at Dartmouth, and am currently a fellow in pediatric endocrinology at OHSU.

Why I am a Mormon

Christ and His restored gospel are the core of our lives and our home. I am grateful for the merits, mercy, and love of the Holy Messiah, our Redeemer, even Jesus Christ. He truly is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings. I rejoice in Christ. I am humbled by his everlasting love for me. I have felt the love of God as he answers my prayers and brings solace to my heart via the comfort of the Holy Ghost. God has carried me through my trials and given me strength beyond my own. I am grateful that through Christ I can live again and be forgiven of my sins. I have felt the peace and healing that comes from His Atonement. I love the Lord and am grateful that he enables me through his grace to become a better person. I am grateful that God continues to speak to us today with modern day prophets and apostles. I know they are men of God. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored. I love the scriptures and know the Bible and the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a true and living church, directed by God. I love my Savior and am a beneficiary of his tender mercies each day of my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by seeking to serve and love others daily. I care deeply about assisting individuals who may be struggling. I dedicate much of my time to providing for my family and caring for them. Living my faith means ensuring I am putting my family first. Furthermore, living my faith means I strive to live my life with integrity and then look to Christ to make up the difference. He always does and I am grateful for his strength, grace, and forgiveness. Faith to me also means accepting hard and difficult challenges and trusting that God will make more of my life than I ever could of myself if I trust Him and seek His divine tutelage. Faith also means facing these challenges with a quiet confidence that God is intimately aware of my struggles and will continue to sustain me and give me strength beyond my own.

In whom should we have faith?

George Ford
We should have faith in our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ. We are saved by the merits, mercy, and grace of Jesus Christ. Only through the death and ressurrection of Jesus Christ can we be saved from sin and death. God loves us and is our Father. We can trust Him and know that He hears and answers our prayers. God loves all of his children and we can have faith in his divine plan for each of us. I am forever grateful for the love of my Heavenly Father and the life changing grace of his son Jesus Christ.
