Hi I'm Richard

I'm a husband, proud father of four wonderful children, a salesman, an avid prankster, a country boy at heart, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite hobby is definitely spending time with my family. I love my wife and kids so much. My other interest and hobbies include almost all sports, hunting, fishing, and camping. Some of the things that have helped bring me to my current point in life have been growing up in a small town near great family especially cousins, working hard in boy scouts achieving the rank of eagle, and serving a full time mission for the church in Porto, Portugal. I love my job as a district sales manager because I get the opportunity to help others succeed and socialize every day. I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has always been a part of my life. My parents were both members along with many generations before them. My personal conversion to the gospel has been a long and gradual process dating back to a very young age. I am so thankful for loving parents and other family members that allowed me to lean on their testimonies while gaining and strengthening my own. One of the high points of my conversion was definitely my mission to Portugal. It was there that I learned to love and appreciate so many things such as the scriptures, prayer, eternal families, hard work, service, and most of all the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful to know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and for my family. It is awesome to know that I can be with them forever and this gives me the faith and motivation to strive to keep the commandments.

How I live my faith

I love living the gospel of Jesus Christ. As far as my role in the church goes I have the opportunity of teaching a small group of 7 year olds in our ward. It is amazing to see their minds at work as their testimonies of the gospel are being formed. Also, I often have the opportunity to go visit other people who are investigating the church with the missionaries. I love to see the gospel being taught and especially to see the change that it brings into their lives. I do believe that my favorite part of living the gospel starts right in the walls of my own home as we study the scriptures together as a family. I love kneeling down in prayer with my wife and kids. I also look forward to having our weekly family home evening where we learn together about the gospel and have good family fun together.
