Hi I'm Dan

Im a husband, father, and grandfather. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im a husband, father, and grandfather. I'm a retired ramblin' wreck from Georgia Tech (mostly wrecked, no more ramblin'). I worked in land surveying, general contracting, and retired from facilities management. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I know the Church is true. I had been searching since before my teen years to know about God and what type of relationship, if any, I had with him. I attended Methodist and Presbyterian churches through my high school years and into college. The teaching and studies of their faith provided only vague answers, prompting no understanding on my part. I had become rather agnostic, convinced that I might not learn the truth. I was 36 years old when I was approached by two mormon missionaries who asked if I would like to know about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Since I was still interested in religion and philosophy, I listened to their message. When I prayed (which I hadn't done in years) to know the truth of their message, my prayers were answered with such power I could not deny it. Over forty years later and while learning more every year, I am more convinced than ever that I have found the Lord's Church.

How I live my faith

I study the scriptures and pray daily; serve in the lay ministry of the Church, and try my best to live the "greatest of the commandments" and the "one like unto it".
