Hi I'm Jake

I'm a University of Michigan Grad Student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student, studying in business. I love to play all kinds of sports. I've played football, hockey, basketball, tennis and volleyball. I love going camping and doing outdoor activities. I love to be with friends. And I recently returned from serving as a missionary for two years in Chile.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church. I love the opportunities that it has provided for me, such as allowing me to be bold and have courage to stand up for what I believe in. I am so grateful to have the Church of Jesus Christ here on the earth. I have grown to have a strong testimony of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to know that he loves us. I know that it is only through him that we can be cleansed of sin and made whole. I know that it is possible to have an eternal family, or a family that continues to be together even after death. And that is exactly what I hope for. I know that we need to be obedient to God's commandments and I am so grateful for that, because every time we do, Heavenly Father blesses us immediately.

How I live my faith

I very recently returned from serving as a missionary in the southern part of Chile. I read my scriptures each day, pray daily and attend church each week.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is to share the things that you know, believe and feel in your heart. Particularly in relation to spiritual aspects and your belief in God and His son, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
