Hi I'm Alexander Bledsoe

I love sports, going to the beach, learning, the Lakers are my team, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love watching college football & the NBA.I played football, baseball, & wrestled in High School.I like to box, cycle, & surf too.I've been blessed to travel which has often times been humbling. during trips to Italy, Spain, Rwanda, Kenya & other countries, ive grown to appreciate the diversity in the world.I like spending my time with my family & friends,& making a good time.I love being active: exercising, hiking, shooting, & most things outdoors.I feel motivated by the good I see in the world, & I am inspired by the unique gifts and talents everyone has. life is best with music in the background(even from the 80's). I can always appreciate putting life on pause & watching a movie(not so much from the 80's), pretty standard.

Why I am a Mormon

There are countless factors that have played a part in my conversion to the Church. Growing up in an LDS family certainly helped, but it is not the main reason I choose to be a member today. A major factor to my own conversion was the simple fact that I took a detour from the Church & learned through experience what a worldly life has to offer. I learned for myself that Heavenly Father's Laws & counsel bring lasting happiness. I found that out through trial & error. My family set an example for me, & always encouraged me to do what was right & never gave up on me when i struggled. At first, I didn't understand how following a strict set of "rules" could bring happiness, but at a pivotal point in my life I began to try. Eventually it led me to read from the Book of Mormon & pray. During my reading,my desire to follow Christ & do good increased (That is a major factor of why I believe the Book of Mormon is true). I could actually feel a subtle peace enter my life, which felt familiar, yet I had not felt it frequently. I was noticabely happier too. The fruits of the spirit described in Glatians 5 confirmed to me that God & His Son Jesus Christ cared for me & were aware of me. I also feel like they are proud of me for changing my life. as I've submitted to the Gospel & tried to follow Jesus Christ's example, i have found lasting joy & countless blessings. Because of my experience I know that this Gospel is true.

How I live my faith

One day at a time.Through study, prayer,& experience,I learn how to become more like our Savior. This has brought me lasting peace. Its a lot harder than not living the Gospel, but I feel it is the purpose of our life & that its one of the ways we show our love for God. I try to serve those around me, & be an example of the believers(not the "Beliebers"). I go to Church on Sundays to partake of the Sacrament (Luke 22,3 Nephi 18) & gain perspective for the week.I also chose to serve a 2 year mission,so I can share His truth with others, & show my gratitude for His help in my life. After my mission, I'll continue to serve in the church in whatever way I'm asked to.
